Chris Cohen, The Beer Scholar, started his own craft beer career by self-publishing study guides for the Certified Cicerone® exam. Chris’s DYI efforts meant the first printings of the book had already gone out without much focus on graphic design. After starting Old Devil Moon, Best of the Bay’s Best Beer Bar (2018), Chris turned his focus back to Beer Scholar and wanted a new logo, look for the book, and graphic elements for his recently-started YouTube channel. The project turned into a complete refresh of The Beer Scholar identity to be launched in 2020.
